Three years ago, ADCAN set out to create an award show that sparked a #makegood movement. We focused on breaking undiscovered filmmakers into the industry by having them create content for charities and non-profits in need. Today, we’re happy to share that ADCAN is now an international organization with fresh branding and a new platform. We will also be hosting both our awards ceremony and winners workshops in Los Angeles this year for the first time ever. We are excited to welcome companies like VICE and Anonymous Content to our jury too, expanding the opportunities for ADCAN’s diverse set of content creators and to encourage filmmakers to submit content in all of its forms.
ADCAN is only as strong as the community around it so we’ve created a platform to support the community outside of award show season as well. ADCAN Platform introduces businesses and other charities focused on positive global impact with the creatives most passionate and most qualified to help them create content that’s idea led, mission driven and action inducing. As ADCAN continues to grow and evolve, our mission still remains the same; to support people who want to make a difference in both their career and in the world, at the same time. The competition is still free to enter and this years charities have been handpicked to address concerns that affect all of us, both locally and globally. We’ve developed the creative briefs alongside each charity to insure the films being created can be put to immediate use supporting each cause.
Over the next handful of weeks the team here at ZAG, our new editorial arm, will be introducing you to more of our jury members, sharing updates on previous ADCAN winners and celebrating different filmmakers work. We’ll also be highlighting upcoming events, parties, announcements and more. It’s on the creative community to leave a legacy of hope and we believe this is more important now than ever. We’re so excited for the next chapter of ADCAN, we hope you are too.
